In honor of the Hungarian composer and pianist Franz Liszt, the Europe-China Cultural Music and Arts Association was granted the status of an international Class A, Grade 1 piano competition in 2017— the International Liszt Piano Competition (Netherlands)—in 2017, establishing the “Liszt International Youth Piano Competition” (Netherlands), which is officially held in China annually. With an authoritative platform, rigorous competition schedule, and professional judges, the competition provides young piano students with an opportunity to showcase their talents.With the mission of building bridges for international artistic exchange and nurturing a new generation of piano talent, the competition offers piano enthusiasts opportunities for European tour performances, high-end music study tours, publication of outstanding works, and recommendations to participate in the International Liszt Piano Competition (Netherlands).
Looking back, outstanding Chinese pianists such as Wu Chi, Li Yundi, Sun Yingdi, and Han Mengjie have all achieved remarkable success at the International Liszt Piano Competition (Netherlands) and have since grown into internationally renowned musical masters. Their artistic achievements continue to inspire a new generation of young pianists to stay true to their original aspirations, strive for excellence, and advance toward ever higher and broader international stages.
